British and Irish Lions South Africa Tour 2021 Live

 

This summer, the British and Irish Lions will play eight games in South Africa. The defending world champion South Africa will host this epic tour, and the other five games will be held in different locations, but no fans will be present at any of the games.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the schedule has been different from the originally announced timetable. All South Africa games will be held in Gauteng or Cape Town. The South African Invitational team has been replaced on the schedule by the Lions franchise based in Johannesburg.

In addition to the Lions, British and Irish tourists will also face the Stormers, Sharks, and Bulls as well as South Africa A in the warm-up fixtures.

The first test will take place in Cape Town, and the second and third test matches will be held at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The 2021 tournament will be the third time the Lions have faced a world champion in the past four series. It is also the third consecutive World Cup championship for the Springboks after 1997 and 2009.

On the last tour of 2017, the Lions played against New Zealand in the series. In 2013, they defeated Australia 2-1, but when they last visited South Africa in 2009, the series lost 2-1.
