Springboks Pulls Out from TRC 2020

South Africa (Springboks) pulling out from the Rugby Championship (TRC), which means Tri-Nations will be held between New Zealand (All Blacks), Argentina (Pumas), and Australia (Wallabies).

South African team will not travel to Australia to participate in the 2020 Rugby Championship against Australia, All Blacks, and Argentina announced by SANZAAR. Because of many reasons including, travel restrictions by the South African government player welfare and safety issues, and the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on South Africa players in various clubs in the UK and Europe, the Springboks will stay in South Africa.

This influence will make SANZAAR now return to the original international competition pattern of the Tri-nations, this time involving Australia, Argentina, and All Blacks. SANZAAR and its stakeholders are aware of the hardships experienced this season due to the pandemic, which is an achievement in itself that can allow six consecutive weekends of six international games in Australia. In Tri-Nations Series, all teams will play with each other in six games held in Sydney, Brisbane, and Newcastle. Here you will see the full Tri-Nations Schedule 2020.
