Super Rugby Aotearoa Re-Schedule 2020 After Covid-19 Pandemic

Because of the critical situation of Covid-19 SANZAAR has Previously decided to suspend the Super Rugby 2020 Regular season, but it will be rescheduled the tournament and will be held in the member countries as soon as state restrictions uplift.


The first match will be played in New Zealand on 13 June 2020, then Australia will play in July along with South Africa, they also look surrounding circumstances for home competitions if government restrictions permit.


Super Rugby Resumed Schedule after Covid-19 Pandemic


After the declaration of Covid-19 pandemic alert level two on 14 May 2020, New Zealand will decide to play in the Investec Super Rugby competition, the first match will kick off on 13 June 2020.


New Zealand Rugby has confirmed the home teams of Super Rugby such as Highlanders, Hurricanes, Blues, Crusaders, and Chiefs which called as Investec Super Rugby Aotearoa. New Zealand starts its first match on 13 June 2020, players will need to ready for contact training for four weeks. The teams came back to training on 18 May 2020.


In this tournament, all five super rugby clubs will play at home and away matches for ten weeks. Every weekend two matches will take place at the time 5:55 p.m on Saturday and 3:55 p.m on Sunday. The games will be held in closed stadiums until the government allows a huge crowd in controlled locations so the fans can enjoy their favorite team match live at the stadium.


The Super Rugby revised schedule 2020 matches were declared, the starting match will happen on 13 June 2020 where Highlanders will play against Chiefs in Dunedin on the following day Blues will play against the Hurricanes in Auckland. Investec Super Rugby Aotearoa Tournament Set-UP


1. New Zealand tournament includes five teams i.e Crusaders, Blues, Highlanders, Hurricanes, and Chiefs.
2. All teams play 20 home and away matches in 10 weeks.
3. Each weekend includes two matches, Saturday 5:05 PM, and on Sunday 3:05 PM.
4. Matches locations: Hamilton, FMG Stadium Waikato, Wellington, Sky Stadium, Dunedin, Forsyth Barr Stadium, Christchurch, and Auckland.
